Despite being backstage at TNA Slammiversary 2026, WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg Brian James was absent from last night’s TNA iMPACT! tapings in Albany, Latest York. He can also be not backstage at tonight’s TV tapings in Albany.
Pwinsider is reporting that following his appearance on the pay-per-view event, discussions have continued regarding a possible agreement that will bring the previous longtime WWE SmackDown head author into TNA in an official capability.
As of today, those negotiations remain ongoing. Nonetheless, the 2 sides haven’t yet finalized a deal, which is why James didn’t appear at this week’s television tapings.
TNA’s next set of television tapings is scheduled to happen later this month in Philadelphia, where The Road Dogg’s status shall be value monitoring if an agreement is reached before then.
