Taylor Swift can have already sung about having children with Travis Kelce, but in response to a brand new report, those near the newlyweds aren’t convinced parenthood is necessarily next on the couple’s agenda. Just days after Swift and Kelce’s highly publicized wedding, speculation has intensified about what comes next for the superstar couple. While fans have long pointed to Taylor Swift’s music and Travis Kelce’s own comments as signs that children are a part of their future, sources near the pair say the truth could also be more complicated.
Long before Kelce got down on one knee, Swift appeared to supply fans a glimpse into how she envisioned her future. On her latest album, “The Lifetime of a Showgirl,” the singer referenced marriage, family, and youngsters on the track “Wi$h Li$t,” which many fans consider was inspired by the Kansas City Chiefs star.
“Have a pair kids, got the entire block lookin’ such as you,” Swift sings within the song. “Got me dreamin’ ’bout a driveway with a basketball hoop.”
Kelce has also previously acknowledged that he sees children in his future, telling his brother Jason Kelce during an earlier conversation, “I see it in our future, of course.”
Those comments fueled years of speculation that marriage and youngsters would eventually be a part of the couple’s story.
Security Concerns Reportedly Remain A Major Factor
Despite their shared comments about family life, a source near the couple told the Day by day Mail that some people of their inner circle remain uncertain about whether children are literally within the cards. “She has such a security situation,” the insider reportedly said. “It’s hard to lift a child in her world.”
In accordance with the source, concerns extend beyond Swift herself, with relatives allegedly experiencing unwanted attention in consequence of the singer’s global fame. The insider claimed relations have also handled strangers showing up at their homes and expressed concern in regards to the level of security that will be required if the couple eventually welcomed children.
The source further alleged that Swift continues to face quite a few threats and security risks.
Taylor Swift Has Spoken About Parenting Concerns Before
This isn’t the primary time Swift has publicly discussed concerns about raising children within the highlight. During a 2014 interview, the singer admitted she had reservations about bringing children into such an intensely public life.
“It’s not possible to not picture certain scenarios and the way you’d attempt to persuade them that they’ve a traditional life when, inevitably, there can be strange men pointing giant cameras at them from the time they’re babies,” she said on the time.
Those concerns have only intensified through the years as Swift’s fame has continued to grow. The singer has handled multiple stalking incidents throughout her profession, and in 2024, authorities prevented a terror plot targeting one among her live shows in Vienna, Austria.
In accordance with reports, security considerations even played a job within the couple’s wedding planning, with Madison Square Garden ultimately chosen partly due to level of protection it could provide.
Travis Kelce Doesn’t Share The Same Concerns
While security reportedly weighs heavily on Swift’s mind, sources claim Kelce views the difficulty in another way.
In accordance with a separate insider, the NFL star isn’t nearly as fearful in regards to the potential challenges of raising children in the general public eye and “isn’t scared.” Still, even when the couple ultimately decides they need children, each remain incredibly busy professionally.
Kelce is preparing to return for an additional season with the Kansas City Chiefs after signing an estimated $12 million contract. Training camp begins later this month, with one other Super Bowl run expected to be his primary focus.
Away from football, Kelce stays involved in quite a few business ventures, including restaurant ownership, his growing entertainment profession, and hosting the wildly successful “Recent Heights” podcast alongside brother Jason.
Taylor Swift Has No Plans To Slow Down
