Baron Corbin is officially back in WWE.
Back in May, it was reported that Bishop Dyer — Corbin’s ring name following his WWE departure — had been discussed internally for a possible return to the corporate. Speculation only intensified after he was recently stripped of the MLW World Tag Team Championships.
Those rumors became reality on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
In the course of the night’s singles match between Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes, Corbin made a surprise appearance just as Hayes was preparing to hit his Melo Don’t Miss finisher. Corbin interrupted the closing moments of the bout, taking out Carmelo before turning his attention to Trick Williams.
The unexpected return immediately shook up the match and marked Corbin’s first WWE appearance since his departure from the corporate, signaling that “The Nomad” is officially back.
