Following news of a split between Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff, a rep for the actress is breaking their silence.
“The narratives running within the press about Margaret and Jack are categorically unfaithful,” Qualley’s rep told Us Weekly on Friday, July 10. “There are not any trust issues. There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership on this relationship. They’ve deep love and take care of each other.”
The statement continued, “There are only two people on this marriage, and the sources who’re talking to the press and commenting on their relationship should not individuals who know them. Please respect their privacy.”
Qualley’s statement comes after People reported on Wednesday, July 8, that she and Antonoff were separated.
Breakup rumors surfaced after Qualley, 31, didn’t join Antonoff, 42, for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding festivities at Madison Square Garden in Recent York City. While the Bleachers frontman was readily available to support his friend and frequent collaborator on the July 2 rehearsal dinner and July 3 ceremony, the actress skipped each events.
Days later, Qualley made headlines for removing photos of her and Antonoff’s wedding from her social media, though it was unclear when exactly she deleted the photographs.
Antonoff and Qualley were first linked in August 2021 after they were spotted packing on the PDA in Recent York City. Nearly seven months later, the pair made their red carpet debut on the AFI Awards Luncheon in March 2022. That May, Qualley seemingly confirmed her engagement to Antonoff when she posted an Instagram photo of herself wearing a diamond ring with the caption, “Oh I really like him!”
In August 2023, Qualley and Antonoff tied the knot in Long Beach Island, Recent Jersey. The star-studded guest list included Swift, 36, Lana Del Rey, Zoë Kravitz and the bride’s mom, Andie MacDowell.
That December, Antonoff reflected on his and Qualley’s “really beautiful” nuptials during a Late Night With Seth Meyers appearance.
“Someone told me that if you die and if you get married is the one time everyone you’re keen on is in a room,” he said on the time. “And I used to be like, ‘Oh, that’s only a thing someone says, and I perform for a living so I don’t mind if the eye is on me.’ After which as soon because it began, my whole body became wet.”
The next 12 months, Qualley opened up about married life with Antonoff in a February 2024 Elle UK interview.
“I believe we’ve type of been operating like a married couple because the starting, so it wasn’t a drastic change, but I actually love the safety of it,” she explained on the time.
Qualley went on to joke about her attachment to Antonoff after they made things official.
“It could be hard for him to disentangle himself from me,” she quipped. “I’m glad the law is involved.”
Elsewhere within the interview, Qualley recalled realizing Antonoff was The One during a fitting with Chanel creative director Virginie Viard.
“I’d met Jack probably two weeks before, but I used to be head-over-heels in love instantly,” she remembered. “I had a sure, knowing feeling that he was my husband.”
While trying on an ivory wedding gown for the Chanel high fashion show, Qualley made a prediction about her future with Antonoff.
“I used to be talking about Jack and said to her, ‘I believe I’ve just met a person I’m going to marry. And, Virginie, if I’m right, will you make me my wedding dress?’” she recounted. “I said, ‘Give me two years …’”
Qualley added, “I’ve at all times desired to be married,” describing herself as “that girly girl who can be on a walk with my sister fantasizing about our weddings or what our husbands can be like.”
