2026 BAFTA Student Award Winners

Winners of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts’ twenty second BAFTA Student Awards include young filmmakers from Spain, France, China and the US, it was revealed at a ceremony in Los Angeles on Friday night that was hosted by TV host Elle Osili Wood and featured presenters corresponding to actor/producer Asif Ali, actor/author Wil Wheaton, immersive artist Gina Kim and film executives Kathryn Busby and Niels Swinkels.

The BAFTA Student Awards have fun emerging creative talent from world wide across film, games and immersive storytelling. This 12 months’s winners were chosen from greater than 600 submissions from universities worldwide by a jury that included actor/author Joel Kim Booster, composer Laura Karpman, documentarian Smriti Mundhra, actor/comedian Nico Santos and exec Heather Callow.

“We proceed to be inspired by the originality and ambition of student work from across the globe,” Courtney LaBarge Bell, BAFTA North America’s executive director, said in a press release. “Every year, these projects raise the bar for storytelling across film, games, and immersive media, and reflect the creative energy driving the long run. We’re proud to offer a platform that recognizes this talent and helps support the following stage of their careers.”
