It’s almost time for the brand new season of Bigg Boss to start out. That is that point of 12 months when speculation about possible contestants for Salman Khan’s show surfaces. The favored reality show could have its twentieth season this time, and, as in yearly, it is predicted to return with latest twists and turns. In a primary for the franchise, all six regional editions of the truth show will premiere concurrently nationwide in September 2026.
Bigg Boss 20 Tentative Contestants

Bhavya Singh gained recognition after appearing on MTV Splitsvilla Season 12. Besides modelling, she has built a powerful social media presence as an influencer. More recently, she appeared on The50.
Bhagirath Bhatt
Bhagirath Bhatt has spent over a decade mastering the sitar and establishing himself within the classical music space. Since audiences normally associate classical musicians with peace and serenity, watching him navigate the chaos of the Bigg Boss house could make for an interesting contrast.
Jannat Zubair
Although Jannat Zubair began her profession as an actress, she has grown into one in all India’s biggest social media stars. She currently boasts over 50 million followers on Instagram.
Karan Patel
Karan Patel is best known for enjoying Raman Bhalla in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. He later stepped into the long-lasting role of Rishabh Bajaj in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. The independent rapper recently made news after he claimed his 11-year-old YouTube channel was taken down due to mass reporting. Reportedly, he attracted attention for his remarks on the CJP (Cockroach Janta Party). Amid his controversy, he has been approached to affix Bigg Boss.
These are the names doing the rounds as of now. Over time, more names will probably be added to the tentative list. It should be interesting to see what mixture of celebrities the makers rope on this time.
All About Bigg Boss’s Historic Rollout
JioStar recently announced that every one editions of Bigg Boss in India will air concurrently for the primary time ever. Aside from Hindi, Bigg Boss can also be available in Marathi, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Bengali. Vijay Sethupathi will probably be hosting the Tamil version, having taken over from Kamal Haasan. Nagarjuna Akkineni will return for the Telugu version, Kichcha Sudeepa for Kannada, Riteish Deshmukh for Marathi, and Mohanlal for Malayalam Bigg Boss.
For the Bangla edition, former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly will probably be making his debut as host of Bigg Boss. He’s the one non-film personality to host the Bigg Boss.
JioStar also released India’s Bigg Reality, a coffee-table book that documents Bigg Boss’ evolution over time. It explores the show’s cultural footprint, viewer connection, and brand influence. The franchise reached over 500 million viewers in 2025. It clocked greater than 438 billion viewing minutes and saw a 47% year-on-year jump in engagement across its six language editions.
