With the start of the holy month of Sawan, a lot of devotees have began visiting Ujjain to hunt the blessings of Baba Mahakal. On this occasion, Indian cricketer Rajat Patidar also visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple together with his family. He offered prayers from outside the sanctum sanctorum, performed jalabhishek, and sought the blessings of Lord Mahakal.
Talking to the media after the visit, Patidar said that the primary day of Sawan may be very special for him. He added that at any time when he gets time between international matches or the IPL, he visits Baba Mahakal to hunt blessings. After the darshan, the Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee honoured Patidar with a ceremonial stole.

“Rajat Patidar Is Higher”: Ex-BCCI Selector’s Daring Take
Former BCCI selector Krishnamachari Srikkanth has called on India’s selection committee to incorporate Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar within the team’s next T20I squad. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Srikkanth again questioned vice-captain Tilak Varma’s place within the side, claiming that Patidar is a much better option.
His remarks got here after Tilak remained unbeaten on 11 off nine balls within the third and final T20I against Zimbabwe. Although Tilak had earlier scored a fast 60 off 29 deliveries within the series, Srikkanth said the left-hander has lacked consistency with the bat.
Srikkanth argued that Rajat Patidar has earned a chance in India’s T20I side, citing his consistent performances with the bat and his key contribution to RCB’s back-to-back IPL title-winning campaigns.
“Once more, Tilak ate nine balls. He can’t play fast for too long. Where is the consistency? Tell me? What did he do in England? There might be one knock here and there. He’s nothing in comparison with Rajat Patidar. If you happen to desire a real solid T20 knock, go to Patidar, give him a probability. Everyone seems to be getting possibilities like Yash Thakur; give him a probability too,” said Srikkanth.
