“Its combat could also be literally hit or miss at times, its sprinkling of sidequests are almost exclusively ho-hum, and its stealth sections take a little bit too long to properly get into gear. Yet in some way Replaced stays a consistently absorbing piece of pixel art-powered motion platforming that I struggled to place down, from the exciting science lab breakout in its opening moments to the fascinating climax some dozen or so hours later. Sad Cat Studios must be commended for crafting such a gripping and beautiful 2.5D motion platformer, regardless that Replaced is one AI-based adventure that would do with a system update to completely iron out the bugs.”
