Drake Morreaux is officially headed to AAA.
During this week’s episode of WWE LFG, Shawn Michaels, NXT’s head of creative and talent development, informed Morreaux that a brand new opportunity awaited him in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.
Following his match against Tristan Angels, Morreaux was summoned to Michaels’ office for a candid discussion about his future. Michaels noted that while Morreaux had spent nearly three years within the system and was well-regarded backstage, the corporate needed to judge how way more time they may realistically put money into his development.
Ultimately, Michaels told him that his run on the WWE Performance Center had come to an end and that there was no available spot for him on the NXT roster.
As an alternative, Morreaux will head to Mexico to proceed his profession in AAA, where he’ll be working alongside The Undertaker.
Later within the episode, Morreaux met with The Undertaker — who previously coached him during season one in every of WWE LFG — to start preparing for this next chapter.
There’s currently no word on when Morreaux will make his AAA television debut.
For those unaware, Morreaux is currently dating Roxanne Perez.
