Jake Paul responds to Olivia Rodrigo’s SNL jab with ‘proud’ response

It is easy to forget that Jake Paul and Olivia Rodrigo were once co-stars on Disney Channel’s Bizaardvark, which the “Drivers License” singer reminded the world of when she hosted Saturday Night Live (SNL) for the primary time on May 2, 2026.

During her opening monologue, Rodrigo recounted her Bizaardvark days with Paul. She joked that while talking about their future aspirations, Rodrigo would claim to wish to “create music that explores the complexities of ladies my age,” while Paul desired to “beat up old guys on Netflix,” alluding to his boxing profession. At the very least they”each did it” and achieved their dreams.

Paul responded to an X, formerly Twitter, account’s post in regards to the monologue, claiming he was “happy with” Rodrigo despite the shade she threw his way.

“We had the vision,” Paul responded with a laughing crying emoji. “I told you that you just would sell stadiums out after which we each did [exploding head emoji] happy with you [for real].”

Rodrigo hosted the May 2 edition of SNL ahead of the discharge of her third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, which can be released on June 12.
