As certainly one of the highest middleweight contenders, Brendan Allen has targeted Khamzat Chimaev previously.
It was revealed several weeks ago that Allen was sparring with Chimaev to assist prepare the present champion for his upcoming title defense.
The videos from these sessions led to Sean Strickland criticizing each men when sharing his response to the released footage.
Allen also hasn’t at all times been the most important fan of ‘Borz’, but what has been said previously didn’t stop them from coming together.

After Brendan Allen defeated Reinier de Ridder last October, he criticized Khamzat Chimaev for suggesting he might move as much as the sunshine heavyweight division.
Saying that the middleweight champion “just talks quite a bit” amongst other comments made previously could’ve led to some tension between the 2 men once they began training together.
Allen, when reflecting on their sessions, said that they addressed this before he even stepped foot contained in the same gym as ‘Borz’.
“Overall, great experience, nothing negative,” he told MMA Junkie. “I understand it’s going to return out eventually that I used to speak s— or speak about Khamzat, but like I had that conversation with him and his team before I got here here. It was just attempting to get the fight. I desired to fight him. I knew he had the most important name on the time.”

Allen had no problem admitting that he had some tough sessions with Chimaev, though he wasn’t surprised by this because they’re at very different stages of their training camps.
‘All In’ got here away feeling like they were capable of profit one another by spending time contained in the cage.
He also believes that whatever was said previously hasn’t been temporarily put aside and that these sessions have modified their relationship.
“Making a bond with Khamzat was great,” Allen added. “He’s an excellent friend to me now and I sit up for the longer term.”
