Friedman: “So I credit James Myrtle for that. He was the primary person to say that they interviewed a current, or asked for permission to talk to a current NHL GM. My initial thought was that it will be Eric Tulsky, because, , he mentioned the media conference, right?
But I heard that was not the case, and it was BriseBois. And I’m not, I mean, hey, like, throw a Hail Mary, right? Like, why not? Why wouldn’t you ask to talk to him? But I don’t think anybody is surprised that the Lightning said no. And I feel he’s, might imagine he’s a very smart guy.
Anyway, I, the reply is, the straightforward method to answer your query, I don’t know. Like, I at all times assume that there’s people on the market I don’t see. I don’t know every part, and while I feel I even have an honest handle on who they talk over with, on who they talk over with, Maddie, I can’t sit here and promise you in good faith that I don’t have, I haven’t missed someone who either they interviewed or asked permission to talk over with. These items are inclined to occur .
As for the timeline, I don’t have one. So long as no one involves me and says their pursuit of Sundin has fallen apart, I’m still under the idea that it’s going to be him and John Chayka.”
Marchese: “Okay, so okay, so now here’s my, I just wanted to only loop back on the BriseBois thing. So should you’re asking for permission to interview Julien BriseBois, why, why stop there? Like, possibly they didn’t, but why stop there? Why would you not only, like, run the gamut here? Ask everybody that, that may very well be available.”
Friedman: “I don’t know that they didn’t.”

You already know, there’s not a whole lot of people coming up for air without delay, Matt, so it’s tough to talk. Loads, a whole lot of my texts and phone calls are going unanswered, even greater than normal.”
