King Green says he and Terrance McKinney agreed to not fight one another.

King Green didn’t pull punches when sharing on the Anik & Florian Podcast how his fight with Terrance McKinney got here to be.

The fan favorite lightweight said that when McKinney first told him he’d been offered the bout, they agreed to not fight one another on account of their friendship.

Green explained that they’ve hung out together up to now and he’s even tried to assist his fellow fighter by highlighting a few of the issues along with his overall skillset.

“It does nothing for me to take this fight,” he said. “We were homies, bro. Like there’s so many other people on this thing we are able to fight like, go construct your way with any person else.”

While Green wasn’t initially focused on the matchup, his attitude modified when McKinney brought the fight offer up again and revealed conversations that had been within the works for a while.
