During Friday’s FIFA World Cup match between Argentina and Cape Verde in Miami, IShowSpeed was livestreaming his time at the sport. Throughout the stream, Speed appeared to get upset following an interaction with some Argentine fans within the stands. In accordance with CBS News, the 21-year-old creator confronted a fan in an Argentina jersey after hearing comments directed at him. The fan, speaking in Spanish, allegedly told Speed to “go cry to the zoo.”
FIFA Releases A Statement Following IShowSpeed’s World Cup Stream
Following iShowSpeed’s stream, FIFA has stepped in. They revealed that they’ve launched an investigation after streamer IShowSpeed was allegedly subjected to a racist remark.
“In accordance with FIFA, they immediately began looking into the situation. In a press release, FIFA condemned racism, hate, and discrimination in all forms.
