Recent details have been revealed regarding former Bachelor star Courtney Robertson and husband Humberto Preciado’s divorce.
In response to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, the previous Bachelor winner, 42, filed the obligatory paperwork to finish her marriage on June 26, claiming within the paperwork that the connection was “irretrievably broken.”
Robertson asked the court to order the previous couple share joint legal decision-making and “possibly award [her] final decision-making authority” relating to the care of their minor children.” She requested the court to make a decision on parenting time “with the most effective interest” of the youngsters in mind.
The previous reality star has also asked the court to award her each child and spousal support. (Robertson and Preciado share sons Joaquin, 6, and Gabriel, 2, in addition to daughter Paloma, 4.)
Robertson also requested the court to divide her and Preciado’s marital assets and debts in a “fair and equitable manner.“ She is requesting to be “fully compensated for any waste or dissipation of marital assets committed by her husband” and compensated for any remaining debts.
Robertson also wants the court to order her husband to cover the associated fee of her legal fees.
Days earlier, Robertson announced that she and Preciado are going their separate ways after six years of marriage.
“I made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” Robertson said in an announcement to People on Friday, July 10, claiming that she learned “information that irreparably damaged” her trust. “This has been certainly one of the toughest seasons of my life, and as I proceed to process all the pieces, my focus stays on my three beautiful children. They’re, and at all times might be, my highest priority.”
Robertson added that she hopes her and Preciado can maintain an amicable coparenting relationship.
“While this isn’t the long run I envisioned for our family, I imagine selecting peace and a healthy, stable environment for my children is the proper path forward,” she continued. “I remain committed to coparenting with kindness and respect. I kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this next chapter, especially for the sake of our youngsters. I’m grateful for the love and support I’ve received and am taking things in the future at a time.”
Bachelor Nation was introduced to Robertson in 2012, during Ben Flajnik’s season of The Bachelor. Robertson won Flajnik’s final rose and the pair got engaged throughout the finale. Robertson and Flajnik had an on-and-off relationship before calling it quits for good in October 2012.
Years after her split from Flajnik, Robertson moved on with Preciado after connecting with him via social media in 2019.
“There was only a level of comfort and connection that I’ve never felt before. I never believed in that feeling of when you understand, you understand until I met him,” she exclusively told Us in December 2019. “Nor have I been with someone that I so clearly wanted to begin a family with.”
