Natalya is ensuring there aren’t any hard feelings with Vic Joseph after calling him out during a recent episode of WWE NXT.
Speaking on a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Natalya praised the work of NXT commentators Vic Joseph and Booker T while discussing WWE Radio’s launch and the duo’s role calling the motion throughout SummerSlam 2026 weekend. While Booker has already appeared on the show, Natalya said she’d like to have Joseph on as a guest and highlighted how useful he’s behind the scenes. She said,
“Vic and Booker are amazing, by the way in which. I do know we’ve had Booker on the show before, but I might like to have Vic Joseph on the show because he’s an unsung hero in WWE. He’s an unsung hero at NXT, and I’ll watch LFG on A&E, and he’ll be working on that show. He works behind the scenes at NXT. Before the show, he’s meeting with all of the talent to go over what’s the story, what do you would like me to capture for this match.
“He’s so great about ensuring the story is captured. Even for myself, I should put him on payroll because he puts me on a pedestal, even once I’m playing the role of a nasty guy. After all I’m uber-b***h right away at NXT against Jaida Parker, and Vic and Booker are so complimentary and so flattering to me. And I actually feel bad.”
“I sent Vic a voice note the opposite day. ‘Vic, I’m calling you out.’ I yelled at Vic. I used to be right as we were going to industrial break, and I yelled at Vic because I used to be just attempting to be a heel, and I screamed at him. I believe it caught him off guard because TJ (Wilson/Tyson Kidd, her husband) goes, ‘Nattie, the entire entire time on commentary they were doing nothing but praising you.’
“I said, ‘TJ, I’m attempting to be within the role of a b***h, okay? I’m attempting to be a nasty guy. I’m attempting to get people to boo me. So I yelled at Vic Joseph, but Vic took it in stride, and he’s just the consummate skilled. So Vic, should you’re listening, I’m sorry I yelled at you. I sent you the voice note. You didn’t respond (laughs).”
“I used to be just attempting to be in character. Yesterday we got home from the dungeon, and I said to TJ, ‘I feel so bad. I feel like Vic is mad at me.’ TJ goes, ‘Nattie, stop taking it (bad).’ TJ at all times brings me back right down to earth. He’s like, ‘He knows you’re playing. He knows you’re attempting to tell a story. He knows you’re in character. But I did yell at him really loud.”
Kerry Morton believes that the working relationship between WWE and the National Wrestling Alliance is just getting stronger, and he expects fans to see much more WWE talent appearing in Billy Corgan’s promotion.
Speaking on a recent edition of the “Hitting the Turnbuckle” podcast, the previous NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion praised the partnership between the 2 corporations, noting that WWE has shown a robust interest within the talent inside the NWA while also planning to send more of its own performers to the promotion. He said,
“It’s nice to have an excellent relationship with the WWE [and] the National Wrestling Alliance. You recognize, Billy’s mentioned it before and it’s true. I had small-talk conversations with them. It’s great to have that good relationship. They’re actively taking a look at plenty of talent, they usually’re taking a look at sending more talent to the National Wrestling Alliance.”
“That’s a cool relationship that’s going to be happening. I’m looking forward to that evolving and looking out forward to beating all the blokes that may kiss my ass within the WWE that come over here to the NWA. So, looking forward to beating them.”
The WWE-NWA partnership has already produced crossover appearances. WWE Superstar Natalya is ready to compete at NWA 78 this Saturday in a Triple Threat match against reigning NWA World Women’s Tag Team Champions Pretty Empowered (Kenzie Paige and Kylie Paige).
