Colby Covington launches scathing attack on Dustin Poirier
After watching Conor McGregor’s humiliating return to motion, Colby Covington told MMAFighting that he refuses to take shots at a fellow fighter while he’s at a low point. He even took aim at Dustin Poirier for doing so when he mocked the Irishman’s defeat in a recent podcast.
“McGregor remains to be a primary ballot Hall of Famer and the most important star the game’s ever seen,” Covington explained. “So I’m not going to kick him while he’s down, I’m not going to be like that fraud Dustin soy boy, Louisiana swamp trash Poirier.
“I’m not going to kick him while he’s down, especially a man that made Dustin’s profession. He was giving Dustin great advice. He said, ‘Bro, get this on top of things, otherwise, your life’s going to spiral uncontrolled’.
“You see Dustin, he’s cussing at a cop, calling the little desk ladies which can be just sitting there and minding their very own business, doing their job, calling them h–s multiple times. It’s disgusting. Dustin Poirier is the most important fake nice guy I’ve ever seen in my life.
“And I’ve been telling people for years. I’ve been saying Dustin’s a fake nice guy. He plays a pleasant guy on camera, but off camera, he’s a chunk of s— person. He’s a deadbeat father, and the way ironic we’re on Father’s Day and he was on the market cussing out cops and calling girls h–s.
“Now that I feel of it, Conor’s loss is due to Dustin’s dad’s fault. Every thing that Dustin was saying was his dad’s fault. He wasn’t taking any blame, no accountability. [He] said all it is because of my dad, ‘Oh my dad this,’ taking no accountability for his own actions, just blaming all of it on his dad.”
