Greg Hardy defends heavyweight title with TKO win over former UFC fighter

The controversial former NFL star outpointed Philip Latu over five rounds to assert the vacant Peak Fighting Heavyweight Championship.

Since then, ‘Prince Of War’ has been knocked out by a fighter who weighed 52lbs lower than him, but that fight happened in a distinct promotion.

Greg Hardy returned to Peak Fighting Championship to defend his heavyweight belt on Saturday night.

The 37-year-old squared off against former UFC middleweight Joseph Holmes within the Peak Fighting 53 essential event.

Holmes entered the bout following an extended layoff, which dates back to a UFC knockout loss to Claudio Ribeiro in May 2023.

Hardy proved to be too tough a comeback fight for ‘Ugly Man’, who fell to a third-round TKO defeat.

The reigning champion took advantage of a sloppy takedown try to secure top position and hammer away with punches until the referee stepped in.

Greg Hardy revealed his goal is to grow to be a multi-promotion champion following Peak Fighting 53.
