India secured a convincing seven-wicket victory against Zimbabwe with 40 balls remaining to steer the three-match series 1–0. Electing to field first after winning the toss, Indian captain Shreyas Iyer led a disciplined team effort that successfully restricted the house side to 125/7 of their 20 overs.
Zimbabwe struggled to construct scoring momentum against a focused Indian bowling lineup. Fast bowler Mayank Yadav delivered an excellent spell, taking 2 wickets for 18 runs in his 4 overs. His tight line and control earned him the Player of the Match award.
Debutant Prince Yadav provided precious support from the opposite end, capturing 2 wickets for 19 runs. Leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi and all-rounder Shivam Dube also claimed one wicket each to maintain the scoring rate under control.
For Zimbabwe, Wesley Madhevere was the highest scorer with 39 runs from 34 balls. Opener Tadiwanashe Marumani added a fast 27 runs off 20 balls, and Ryan Burl scored 26 runs off 35 deliveries. Nevertheless, frequent wicket losses prevented the house team from constructing strong partnerships, leaving them with a modest total to defend.

Loved this Zimbabwe vs India game today. Not for the win, but for something else. Loved the gang. They simply got here to have a good time, have fun, sing, dance, & have an awesome time. No pressure. No pretensions, no unruly crowd behaviour, & no ugly fences (though they’re required here).…
