Tahir Abdullayev appears to bite opponent during UFC Baku
A successful UFC debut for Tahir Abdullayev appears to have been marred by footage that emerged after the fight was over. He scored a stoppage victory within the third, and apart from some questions across the refereeing from fans there was minimal controversy.
Nonetheless, social media accounts have now highlighted a moment early within the fight where, as he’s raining down ground and pound from top position, he looks to bite his opponent’s ear. The Brazilian appears to shout in pain and clutch his ear, however the fight continues without a lot as a stoppage.
Fans weren’t completely happy with what they saw from the victorious fighter, with one writing: “That guy was fighting dirty as f— too grabbing the cage and after the bell shots. They prob cut him that fight was horrible anyway.”
One other claimed that the referee must be fired for his showing, adding: “Jim Perdios must be banned for all times after what he did on this fight. Imagine having this scab officiating your fight. He did the whole lot in his power in order that [Abdullaev] would get the W.”
